Resilient Equities

Commercial & Hospitality

Showrooms, restaurants, and tenant fit-outs in Miami-Dade, where the mechanical system decides whether a space works on its busiest afternoon in August.

Automotive showroom and event space — adaptive reuse, Miami-Dade County

30,000 sq ft existing structure converted to a commercial car showroom with office space. Resilient Equities delivered the HVAC design as a sub-consultant to the project architect: thermal load calculations accounting for envelope, internal gains, and showroom glazing; system selection; and HVAC drawings under the Florida Building Code 7th Edition (2020) and Miami-Dade County requirements. Energy reporting supported system selection against operating cost, not first cost alone.

Restaurant tenant fit-out — concept change and fuel conversion, Miami-Dade County

1,200 sq ft retail tenant space converted from a juice-bar concept to an Asian-fusion kitchen. Scope: electric-to-gas fuel conversion, Type I kitchen exhaust hood with make-up air balanced to the new cooking line, and an upgraded solids separator and hydromechanical grease interceptor sized to the new grease load under DERM requirements. Permit drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing under the 2023 Florida Building Code 8th Edition and Miami-Dade County ordinances.
